Parque Bom Jardim – MG

Placemaking project for Bom Jardim Square in Juiz de Fora. The square, located in the eastern zone of the city, has an area comparable to the city’s central park, Parque Halfeld. The developers’ idea was to enhance the square as a way to connect the neighborhood community with future residents. In other words, unlike highly equipped private clubs enclosed within walls, this leisure space would be open to the entire community, positioning the new development as part of the neighborhood.

A deep engagement process was carried out with different subcultures, including skateboarders, bikers, families, and athletes, among others. This collective process resulted in an activation and programming project with diverse uses that positively impacted the dynamics of the neighborhood and the surrounding area.
