Patos de Minas – MG

BACK

The Municipality and SEBRAE-MG commissioned us to develop the city branding strategy for Patos de Minas. The city, a key hub in the Alto Paranaíba region and widely recognized for its agribusiness sector, needed to identify which other assets, beyond this primary development vector, could attract and retain new talent, promote tourism, and create new opportunities.

Over several months, we conducted a deep immersion in the city, organizing multiple co-creation workshops with the community that served as the foundation for the strategy developed. The outcome was translated into 42 place brand activation projects. In addition, Patos de Minas became the first city to adopt Place Strategic Foresight, a methodology focused on mapping future scenarios. This approach demonstrates how the strategy can adapt to new contexts and emerging dynamics, reinforcing its flexible and evolving nature.

“The opportunity to implement a branding project for a city is a chance to bring forward the very best that exists within it and, in a strategic way, communicate this potential. Whether to strengthen the local community or to enhance the city’s ability to attract investment, this process reveals the true power of a place. Through our partnership with Bloom, we were able to identify meaningful paths and bring our vision for the development of our cities to life.”

“Bloom Consulting provided us with highly satisfactory support through its Place Branding consultancy for the city of Patos de Minas, in Minas Gerais. Their experience and expertise in the field brought the necessary credentials for a project that involved organized civil society, the public sector, private companies, and academia. The results were very positive, both through the engagement of the stakeholders and through the materials we received, which have been extremely helpful in supporting the ongoing implementation of the strategy.

We were very well supported by Mariane, Caio, and the entire team.”
