Várzea – Recife, PE

BACK

The challenge was to develop the positioning strategy for a new real estate development in Várzea, the largest neighborhood in Recife’s northern zone. The goal was to create a new destination within an area of 1,000 hectares, located next to the Federal University. Várzea has its own unique and autonomous dynamics, with a strong sense of belonging among its residents. For this reason, the community engagement phase was crucial to the project. Over three months of work, thousands of people were engaged and 1,000 ideas were generated, resulting in a strategy that valued Recife’s culture and the lifestyle of residents from the city’s northern zone.

The project was designed to include housing, leisure, entertainment, gastronomy, and culture.

“There are people and companies that challenge us to do better. That is exactly what Caio and Mariane have been doing over the years in the many projects we are developing across Brazil.

I had the pleasure and privilege of first meeting Caio Esteves as a student, and I was fascinated by his perspective and the way he looks at places, people, and the transformation that can emerge from this relationship. From that moment on, Caio and Mari have been challenging the real estate market, which is often very traditional, to see things from a different perspective.

We have been developing horizontal and vertical projects throughout the country, and their consultancy has been extremely valuable in this process, constantly challenging us and encouraging us to think and see beyond.”
